Background on Adam Collins
Prior to assuming the role of Deputy Mayor, Collins served as Deputy Director for the Indianapolis Local Public Improvement Bond Bank, where he led the redevelopment efforts at 16 Tech, a state-of-the-art business park designed to meet the needs of those in life sciences and information technology, and assisted in the redevelopment of the former Market Square Arena site into a 28 story mixed use development.
Collins previously served the City of Indianapolis in various roles during his 6-year tenure. Through his leadership roles at the Department of Code Enforcement, he drafted ordinances and coordinated the City’s role in regulatory activities for Super Bowl XLVI, oversaw a 75 person division responsible for performing over 100,000 inspections annually, and led the City’s non-public safety recovery efforts resulting from the Richmond Hill neighborhood explosion.
