May 3rd HUNI Quarterly Meeting Centered on Discussion of HOT Topics

On May 3rd, HUNI Neighborhood Reps gathered to discuss and get updates on several threats to Historic Neighborhoods across the city including Rethink 65-70 infrastructure improvements and proposed changes in Indy Sign Ordinance regulations. HUNI leadership received notificiation from INDOT that due to the community input, they have initiated a system-level analysis to assess the performance, cost and impact of seven concepts for improvements to I-65 and I-70 interstate system through downtown Indianapolis. Meg Purnsley, the new IHPC Director, shared proposed revisions to the Sign Ordinance designed with historic neighborhoods in mind.
