Meetings & Speakers
The goal of quarterly meetings is to educate representatives from member neighborhoods on issues which affect historic neighborhoods. To be eligible for HUNI membership, neighborhoods must be recognized as being historic either nationally by their listing on the National Register of Historic Places and/or locally by the Indianapolis Historic Preservation Commission (IHPC). Every Indianapolis historic neighborhood is strongly encouraged to send a representative to quarterly HUNI meetings which are posted on the HUNI website. Typically meetings occur in February, May, August and November at Indiana Landmarks Center. Since February's meeting is the organization's annual meeting, it is often held at a historic venue around town. Annual dues are $15 per year. Questions should be directed to Chad Lethig, Indianapolis Preservation Coordinator, at Indiana Landmarks, 317.639.6941 or Marjorie Kienle at mlkienle@indy.rr.com, HUNI Chair.
